There are some BIG changes happening in the children's ministry at FUMC of Port St. Joe! God is moving and we are following! The schedule is changing. The material is changing. Our God is staying the same.
1) 6th grade is staying in the children's ministry. Since the change in the school system, we figured this would be the best option. More on what's offering in a bit...
2) We are starting a Wednesday Night program: Kid Life. We will meet in the Sanctuary for right now. This will be a time for Choir, worship, Bible Study & some games. This is for ANYONE in Kindergarten-6th grade. Preschool & under get to hang out in the nursery until someone steps up to lead that group. This starts August 24th.
3) We are changing up Sunday mornings with new Sunday school material. We will be using a curriculum called 252 Basics. It is some of the best stuff out there. Each month we will cover a virute with the first one being "Grow Up!" I cannot wait to see what God is going to do through this! So if you haven't been coming to Sunday School - September will be an EXCELLENT time to start. We will start this new material on September 4th!
4) Wednesdays will also hold a new group just for 5th & 6th graders. We will meet each Wednesday from 4-5:15 PM in the Youth Room upstairs. This will be a time of hanging out and getting to know God and each other a little better. You better believe there will be some awesome snacks . 5th & 6th graders will need to bring their Bible's each week. You guys get to help come up with a group name during our first meeting!
